Koan Arts engages freelance creative and media professionals to deliver projects and tutoring in art, film and digital technologies for educational and community contexts.

 We are based in Suffolk in the UK and operate mainly in the Eastern Region. We provide art education for Suffolk County Council’s Alternative Provision.

Koan was set up as a Community Interest Company (registration number 07734860) in 2011 by filmmaker David Jay and artist/educator Mike McManus, who studied painting at Chelsea School of Art and has an MA in Animation and Sound Design.
